LG Display sues Tianma, escalating the latest round of China-South Korea display patent battle
South Korean display technology firms have intensified patent litigation against Chinese competitors, reflecting growing tensions in the sector. Following Samsung Display's ongoing patent infringement lawsuits against Chinese companies BOE Technology Group and TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology (TCL CSOT), LG Display has also initiated legal action targeting Chinese panel manufacturer Tianma in the US.

Netronix Group expects replacement demand for color e-paper, which began to take off in 2024, to continue picking up in 2025 and is also pushing into the development of new large-size e-paper signage devices, eyeing the new business opportunity brought by AI and cloud computing. Coretronic expects June shipment surge amid quarter-end demand spike
Taiwanese display solution provider Coretronic Corp. reported unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$3.058 billion (approx. US$100 million) in May 2025, marking a 13% month-over-month increase from April's NT$2.715 billion. However, the figure was still down 6% year-over-year compared with NT$3.261 billion in May 2024. For the first five months of 2025, cumulative revenue totaled NT$14.247 billion, a 9% decline from the same period a year ago.
